We started LANSURG because we kept seeing the same problem up close: good tutors, invisible progress, and no one held to any standard.
Every student can improve — but only when someone is actually watching whether it's working. Most tutoring in Accra runs on trust alone: a tutor shows up, teaches, and everyone hopes for the best at the next exam.
We believe parents deserve to see progress along the way, not just find out at the end of term. That's the whole idea behind LANSURG — qualified tutors, and a simple system that shows you what's actually happening. Better tutoring. Clearer progress. Greater confidence
LANSURG was founded in 2026 in Accra by Chemistry graduates and university teaching assistants who had firsthand experience tutoring students privately.
We saw a gap: tutoring was often built around referrals and good intentions, but families had little visibility into what was being taught, how students were progressing, or whether the experience met a consistent standard.
LANSURG was created to change that. We are building a tutoring model centred on quality, structure, measurable progress, and accountability, so tutoring becomes more than lessons on a timetable. It becomes a system designed around student growth.
We are early in our journey, but our goal is ambitious: to raise the standard of private tutoring in Ghana, one student at a time.
We start from our own network of qualified educators — university teaching assistants and subject specialists — and vet every tutor who joins beyond that network the same way.
Degree and subject background checked before anyone teaches a session.
Every tutor teaches a sample lesson to our team first.
Tutors stay on based on results and parent feedback, not a one-time interview.
Trust is fundamental to the way we work. Home tutoring gives our tutors access to a family's personal space, and we treat that privilege with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
From tutor communication and scheduling to academic records and progress reports, we handle student and family information responsibly and keep it accessible only to those who need it to support the student effectively.
We respect the privacy of every family we serve. Your child's academic journey, personal information, and session details remain confidential and are not used or disclosed for purposes unrelated to our services, except where consent has been provided or disclosure is required by law.
For LANSURG, privacy isn't simply a policy. It's part of the standard we expect from everyone who represents us.
